Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actress. Her debut film role as an archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989, her role as Elsa Schneider - a Nazi-sympathizing character - in A View to a Kill (Bond film 1985) and then went on to perform the role of Nazisympathizing Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donavan played the role part of A Prayer for the Dying in 1987, Charlotte appeared in Taffin (in 1988) and Rebecca Flannery played Major League II. Doody was approached by a photographer and started to perform the role of a model. Then she began an industry-wide career in commercial modeling. Doody stringently avoided glamour and naked work, a rule that was extended to her acting career. After being spotted by to the director of casting for a new James Bond film she accepted the role of Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was named one of the top 12 promising young Actors from 1986 in John Willis Screen World, Vol. 38. Only 18 years old as she played the character Doody was, and still is the youngest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying, starring Mickey Rourke in 1987, was a different early film in which Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody played a non-speaking part in the 1987 television version of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. The actress starred alongside Pierce Brosnan as Dr. Elsa Schneider, an Austrian Nazi sympathizer and an archaeologist for forensics in the movie Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody is a part of the James Bond family, having played alongside Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in the film Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series inspired by Hitler Diaries. Doody then relocated to Hollywood. She was replaced by Cybill Shepherd as the L'Oreal spokesperson role. Then she played Flannery Sheen's lover and agent opposite Charlie Sheen, as Major League II came out in 1994. Doody was off acting for more than 10 years, came back 2003 for a minor role of the British comedy The Actors in which Michael Caine played her as a character at an award ceremony. She also appeared in 2004 in a film with Patrick Swayze as a television adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. She also appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle, a 2005 booklet on the Holocaust. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). Later, she appeared as a guest in RTE's medical drama The Clinic and was set to be the lead actress in a remake of horror classic The Asphyx but the project later stalled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She also appeared on the show in 2014 as We Still Kill the Old Way.
