Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was conceived in McComb, Mississippi, and raised in Kentwood. Britney was a dancer when she was a kid and won many competitions in gymnastics. Britney enjoys singing and dance, but more importantly, she enjoyed dancing classes. At age 8, Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), but was denied due to her young age. Britney was then referred to Broadway's off-Broadway show "Ruthless" in which she played the lead role for two years. The show was re-run for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) in which time, she played the mouseketeer. Her breakthrough however, was after she was signed as Jive Recording Artist in the late 90s. After the release of her debut album"Baby One Last Time" "...Baby One More Time" in the beginning of 1999, Britney became a global hit, selling 13 million copies of "Baby" and 9 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Did It Again" which was released in May of 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears (and Jamie Spears) and has a huge sister named Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was always destined to be the next big thing from an early age. Britney loved singing and was inspired by Whitney Houston and Mariah Carey. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on the television at age 8. However, she was not a suitable age for the role. Britney and her infant sister, Britney, moved to New York, where she was featured in numerous TV commercials and an off Broadway play called "Ruthless" under the guidance by Natalie Portman. She fell in love with dance and music 2 years later, when she auditioned for the role of "Mickey Mouse" and won the part with Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
