Anna Kendrick
Anna Kendrick was the daughter of Janice
Cooke, who is an accountant, and William Kendrick (a teacher). Michael Cooke
Kendrick is her older brother. She has also been an actor. Anna Kendrick is
Scottish, Irish and an English-born. She was nominated for the Tony Award
(second youngest ever), the Drama Desk Award and the Fany Award (best actress
in the musical). The award was the Drama League Award and Theatre World Award
for her performance. She had the pleasure of working alongside choreographer
Scott Ellis, choreographer Susan Stroman and a host of other famous performers
in the New York City Opera House. Anna starred in Camp (2003) and was nominated
for the Broadway Tony Award for Best Actress (Featured role - Musical) for her
role in High Society. It was her second nomination for the award in Tony
history (after 1991's Tony winner, Daisy Eagan). In Tony history, George
Clooney made fun of her during her time working with Susan Stroman and Scott
Ellis at the New York Opera House. Anna starred in Camp (2003) and was
nominated in the 1998 Tony Award for Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for
"High Society." In 2010 she was nominated in the second and third
installments of the show. (September 2013) She has the distinct distinction of
appearing on three major screen musicals – Into the Woods (2014).
